Easy, foolproof corn on the cob

The foolproof method for perfect crisp-tender corn on the cob!


  • 4 ears corn on the cob
  • salt, for water
  • Desired toppings: butter, salt and pepper, paprika, cilantro, Parmesan or cheddar or goat or feta cheese


  1. Bring a large pot of water to a roiling boil. Add a healthy hit of salt to the water.
  2. Shuck and add corn cobs to boiling water. Cover, turn off heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove, add desired toppings and enjoy perfectly tender sweet summer corn!

Recipe Notes

Don’t shuck your corn until you’re ready to cook it! It helps keep it fresh.
