Total Time20 minutesmins
Yield: 4servings
Ingredients
1tablespoondry Ranch seasoning mix (homemade or from a packet)
1teaspoonpaprika
4(5 oz.) boneless pork chops
2teaspoonsextra-virgin olive oil
Optional: Squeeze of fresh lemon juice, sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley to serve
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400.
Combine the Ranch seasoning mix and paprika in a small bowl and stir well.
Season both sides of pork chops generously with the seasoning mix.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Add pork chops and sear until brown and crisp, about 3 minutes per side.
Transfer the pan to the oven and cook for an additional 8-12 minutes. The exact timing will depend on the thickness of your pork chops. They should reach a minimum of 145. (I use and love this digital thermometer.)
Remove and let pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
I use small boneless pork chops because they are quick and easy to cook. You could certainly substitute bone-in pork chops or even a pork tenderloin. You’ll just need to adjust the cooking time.I like searing these in the pan first to get a slight crust and then transferring the pan to the oven to finish the cooking. If you want to cook these on a sheet pan for the entire cooking time, you’ll need to bake them at 400 for about 20-22 minutes, until they reach at least 145. (You can broil them at the end to get some extra color on them.)Feel free to use either homemade Ranch seasoning or part of a packet of Ranch seasoning here.I use regular paprika but smoked paprika would work too.
