Southwest Air Fryer shrimp are just a few simple ingredients and ready in only 10 minutes! These tasty shrimp can be served as an appetizer, with tacos, or over salads or grain bowls.

Ingredients
1lb.peeled, deveined shrimp (large or extra large, such as 26-30 size)
1teaspoonextra-virgin olive oil
1 ½teaspoonssouthwestern seasoning (see notes)
Instructions
Preheat the Air Fryer to 400 (if yours requires preheating).
Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry with a paper towel and place in a bowl or on a plate.
Drizzle the shrimp with olive oil and sprinkle with the southwestern seasoning mix. Toss the shrimp to get them all well coated.
Place the shrimp in the tray of the Air Fryer. Cook at 400 for 6-8 minutes, until the shrimp are cooked through.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
You can use a store-bought or homemade seasoning mix. To make your own southwestern seasoning, combine the following: ½ teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, ¼ teaspoon ground coriander, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon dried oregano, ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, ⅛ teaspoon ground cumin, pinch of black pepper and/or cayenne pepper.Mix well to combine and use for seasoning. (You may have a little extra, which is fine to either use or toss. You just want to make sure all the shrimp get well seasoned.)Like it spicy? You can add an extra pinch of cayenne.For a larger batch of this spice mix, see southwest seasoning. It stores great and you can use it for all sorts of recipes.The shrimp for this recipe needs to be peeled and deveined. You can leave the tails on or remove them, whichever you prefer.The shrimp also need to be thawed. If yours is frozen, place the shrimp in a colander and run under cool water for 2-3 minutes, until defrosted.No Air Fryer? You can also roast these shrimp in the oven.
