Notes
Liquor: My preference for alcohol here is to use bourbon. The sweetness and depth of flavor goes really well in this drink. However, I know some people make their spiked versions of this drink with vodka, so you could use that if you’d rather. Either way, we do want a decent quality liquor. Doesn’t have to be top shelf, but it shouldn’t be bottom shelf either.Tea: Feel free to use a sweet or unsweet iced tea in this drink. I choose an unsweet tea to cut down on total sugar. (The lemonade has enough sweetness for the drink for my tastes.)You can also either make your own lemonade and iced tea or use a store-bought version. (I've even used a half tea/half lemonade diet Snapple and added bourbon to that and it was tasty.)Club soda: If you want to tone this drink down a bit or really don’t want too much sweetness, you can top off your glass with a bit of club soda. It adds a nice, refreshing fizziness. And of course, please drink responsibly.
