Air Fryer fried ravioli are breaded and then cooked until golden, crispy and seriously delicious, and in less than 10 minutes! Serve with warm marinara sauce either as an appetizer or as part of a main meal.

We're doing things a tad bit different today.

Fried without the actual frying. And without a vat of oil. And the risk of splatters and burns. Oh, and with minimal clean-up.

Yup, that's totally my style.

I don't really do fried food, generally. Just not my favorite.

But Air Fryer "fried" things? Oh yes, please! All the crunch and flavor, without the hassle and the greasy heaviness.

Some of our favorites are crunchy Air Fryer chicken tenders and Air Fryer chicken Parm that's breaded and topped with marinara and mozzarella for a delicious family dinner.

For an appetizer, we love Air Fryer zucchini sticks and Air Fryer mozzarella sticks that are breaded and delicious dipped in marinara. And Air Fryer tater tots make a great side dish.

So today I'm happy to share these Air Fryer fried ravioli. They are crunchy, cheesy, hot and delicious. Perfect for dipping into some warm marinara sauce!

My kiddos adore these, too. Especially my daughter, who is 10 and not always a big eater. She told me she could eat these daily!

And I can understand why. What's not to love?!

OK, let's get cooking so you can fall in love with these, too!

Recipe Notes:

Ravioli: Feel free to choose any flavor ravioli you like, whether that's cheese or chicken and cheese or veggie or another filling type.

Small ravioli: You can get very small, 1-inch or so square size ravioli and those will take about 7-8 minutes. You'll also likely need to do 3 batches to get a whole 9 ounce package cooked since they are so small. AND you'll need to double the breading ingredients so you can get all the pieces well coated. Notes are in the recipe card below as well.

Large ravioli: Or if you are using the larger, 2-3 inch or so square size, they take about 10 minutes in the Air Fryer. And 2 batches is usually enough to cook them all.

Breadcrumbs: I use regular store-bought plain breadcrumbs for these ravioli. You could also use the Italian style breadcrumbs and just skip adding the dried Italian seasoning.

Serving: Depending on the size and filling, you can make these ravioli as an appetizer or as part of a main dish for dinner. We've done both.

Personally, I love the larger ravioli better because they have more filling on the inside and seem more cheesy and delicious.

But the little ones are awfully cute and so very pop-able. And they are perfect for sharing as a crunchy appetizer with friends or family.

And in case you are in the market for an Air Fryer, I highly recommend mine.

Originally, I had a small size one, but it just wasn't big enough for all the things I wanted to put in the Air Fryer.

So I got this one (it's usually on sale, which is nice) and I've loved it. It's a better fit for families with children, or just if you're cooking for bigger groups.

You can check out all of my Air Fryer recipes if you're obsessed like I am with the magic of this appliance.

OK, next up, dipping!

Serving these ravioli with some warm marinara sauce is just perfection in our book. And that's true whether you are serving these as an appetizer or as a main dish.

You could certainly use a different type of sauce or dip if you prefer.

So there you go! Fried ravioli in your own home with zero splatters and very little mess. And wayyyyy healthier!

That's my kind of "frying"!

And I think you'll love them just as much as we do.

Enjoy!

XO,

Kathryn

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 (9 oz) package ravioli (see notes)

For serving:

  • Marinara sauce, warmed

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, if it requires pre-heating.
  • Place the egg in a low shallow bowl, add the water and lightly whisk together. Place the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese and dried Italian seasoning in a separate low bowl and mix to combine. (If using very small ravioli, double the breading mixture. See notes below.)
  • Dredge each piece of ravioli in the egg mixture on both sides then in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to get the breadcrumbs to adhere well.
  • Place the coated ravioli in the Air Fryer in an even layer. (You will need to work in batches.) Spray the tops of the ravioli with cooking spray.
  • Cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-8 minutes for small ravioli and 10 minutes for large ravioli, flipping over once halfway through the cooking time.

Leftovers: Leftover fried ravioli, once cooled, can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Reheating: To reheat, place in the Air Fryer tray and set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes. Unlike when you are first cooking them, it is OK to stack the fried ravioli when reheating. Meaning, they don’t have to be in a single layer.
