Anyone else like to have a little fun with their food around holidays?

I hope so because Valentine’s Day is next week and I’m all about the food celebrations for it.

My personal favorite is this Valentine’s Day snack mix — also known as Cupid’s Crunch — that is super crunchy and totally addictive.

Or get tons of ideas from this collection of healthy Valentine’s Day snacks.

Today, we’re going back to breakfast with these pretty and fun Valentine’s Day yogurt parfaits.

A red and white layered yogurt parfait with chocolate granola and chocolate chips

We’ve got layers of vanilla yogurt, beautiful red berries - strawberries and raspberries are our faves - some strawberry sauce or strawberry jam, and some chocolate granola and mini chocolate chips for some crunch on top.

And to have a little chocolate for breakfast!

These gorgeous parfaits are so festive and fun - and delicious! Plus, they are really easy to make and totally customizable.

Basically, it’s less of a recipe than a make-your-own parfait bar with some festive ideas and plenty of swaps.

I even skipped the amounts for ingredients in the recipe card. Make as many as you need and make them the size you want.

Yup, totally a free-for-all here today. Chaos abounds.

Except I’m gonna give you a few pointers and tips and options so you can have a little something to go on when making yours.

So let’s get to layering.

Notes on making Valentine’s Day yogurt parfaits:

  • Yogurt: Choose a base of vanilla or strawberry yogurt. Or use Plain Greek yogurt if that’s your preference.
  • Berries: Strawberries and raspberries add a fun pop of red. Feel free to swap in or try other berries as well.
  • Strawberry sauce or strawberry jam is another fun layer you can add in to separate out your yogurt layers. It’s optional though so skip it if you’d rather.
  • Granola: I used a version of this chocolate granola for a little extra chocolate fun, but any kind of granola will do for your parfait. Not a granola fan? Use some cereal to add a crunchy layer.
  • Chocolate chips: Sprinkling a few mini chocolate chips on top adds a more festive feel. You could also use white chocolate chips or chocolate shavings.

So use what you have, choose what you love and make these your own!

As mentioned, you can make as many of these parfaits as you need for your family. And make them as big as you want with as many layers as you want.

Tip: Do keep in mind the size of your bowl or cup or glass though. Smaller is better so you can layer appropriate without making a massive parfait that's too big to finish.
